CM Punk ha affermato che sta facendo di tutto pur di riuscire a portare la serie tv Heels su Netflix, proponendo una terza stagione.
Prima del suo ritorno nel mondo del wrestling avvenuto con l’esordio in All Elite Wrestling nel 2021, il Best in the World si era avvicinato nuovamente alla disciplina tramite la serie tv con protagonisti Stephen Amell e Alexander Ludwig. Nella serie, CM Punk ha interpretato il ruolo del wrestler Ricky Rabies, mentre sua moglie AJ Lee ha vestito i panni di Elle Dorado.
Intervistato da Deadline, il wrestler della WWE ha affermato che sta lavorando per portare Heels su Netflix e proporre una terza stagione della serie.
Inoltre, ha rivelato di avere altri progetti legati al mondo del cinema e della televisione. Reciterà nel film Night Patrol (scritto e diretto da Ryan Prows) e alla serie tv horror Revival che negli Stati Uniti verrà trasmessa da Syfy.
Inoltre, CM Punk ha dichiarato che sia lui che il collega/amico Dave Batista vorrebbero recitare in una rom-com, ovvero una commedia romantica, e che non è da escludere che i due possano lavorare insieme in futuro.
