COME AVEVAMO PRECEDENTEMENTE RIPORTATO, IL CEO DI SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP CHRIS RIPLEY AVEVA ANNUNCIATO CHE RING OF HONOR SAREBBE DEBUTTATA AL MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NEL 2019.
Nella giornata di oggi riceviamo importanti aggiornamenti dal CEO di Ring Of Honor, Joe Koff. Ai microfoni del PWInsider, Koff ha annunciato che la federazione ha perso la data di debutto a causa della WWE. Queste le sue parole:
You know, I’m going to tell you Mike because you are asking. I’m not going to discuss beyond this statement because I am not going to litigate this in the press. We had a deal with [Madison Square] Garden and they then told us they were backing out after communications from the WWE. We are not able to get any other dates in any kind of discussion. I’m expecting that our lawyers will be contacting all the parties involved and the best we can hope is that we can find a resolution, so we can bring the kind of energy and excitement that ROH and our partner New Japan to a bigger audience and to bigger arenas and to the fans of New York City.
Sai, lo dirò a te Mike perchè me lo hai chiesto. Non andrò oltre questa affermazione perchè non voglio fare contestazioni tramite la stampa. Avevamo un accordo con il MSG ma loro si sono tirati indietro dopo delle comunicazioni con la WWE. Non possiamo ottenere altre date in alcuna maniera. Mi aspetto che i nostri avvocati contattino tutte le parti interessate e speriamo di trovare una soluzione, così da poter portare l’energia di ROH e della nostra partner NJPW ad un pubblico più ampio, in arene più grandi e ai fans di New York City.
Dal 1927, nessuna compagnia di wrestling al di fuori di quella della famiglia McMahon si è mai esibita al Garden. PWInsider ha contattato la WWE per ottenere un commento su questa vicenda, ma la federazione ha risposto con un rumoroso “no comment”.
