Michael Elgin: non mi piace più il pro wrestling | Michael Elgin è stato al centro di un dibattito nato su Twitter dopo alcune sue dichiarazioni controverse
Non vi è dubbio che negli ultimi anni, complice l’avvento di internet, il mondo del pro wrestling si sia evoluto come mai. Un processo così veloce che rende sempre più difficile distinguere il lato wrestler da quello personale. Un problema in cui si è appena imbattuto Michael Elgin.
Il lottatore di IMPACT! Wrestling ha recentemente rilasciato dei tweet circa il suo interesse che sta ormai svanendo verso la disciplina scatenando non poche reazioni all’interno del web.
Non mi piace più il wrestling. Sono tutti così soft. Tutti lasciano che le persone esterne o i “fan” dicano come deve essere. Io sto qui, i cosiddetti wrestlers sono diventati niente di più che una presa in giro di ciò che le persone e il wrestling dovrebbero essere. Non mi piace odiare la mia professione.
Non si fanno attendere le repliche di numerosi fan che portano alla replica di Elgin dove si sofferma sul cambiamento in atto nel mondo del wrestling.
Il cambiamento che è necessario ha dato davvero la testa alle persone. È una mentalità e una passione che è molto diversa. Non tutti, così come tanti lottatori danno tutto questo.
Successivamente, Elgin ha chiarito che non esiste un solo modo per fare wrestling e che ama la varietà. Inoltre, il lottatore di IMPACT! chiarisce che questi tweet erano un modo per attirare attenzione su di sé e sulla compagnia.
Non penso che ci sia solo 1 modo per combattere Amo la varietà nel wrestling. Non tutti dovrebbero fare le cose allo stesso mondo altrimenti sarebbe noioso. E il tweet originale doveva essere orientato su ciò che ho fatto a IMPACT!.
Come ho detto. Nessuna preoccupazione. Purtroppo un sacco di persone fraintendono che da Rebellion sto facendo tutte queste cose su twitter per attirare attenzione su di me e sullo show. Penso che quando un wrestler dia una sua opinione non abbia più a che fare con il wrestling ma con la vita reale.
La conversazione si è poi spostata circa i wrestler attuali e i fan, sempre più importanti la cui assenza sancirebbe la morte della disciplina.
Sento che noi in quanto wrestler abbiamo messo sempre più in secondo piano il sipario negli ultimi anni. Il tutto rende difficile distinguere le differenze in certi tweet fatti da dei personaggi e i pensieri della persona vera. Senza i fan, noi non avremmo questa professione. Quindi io rispetto i fan.
Michael Elgin ha quindi provato a catturare l’attenzione su di sé e su IMPACT! Wrestling. Il tutto ha funzionato ma ha anche dato vita ad un interessante dibattito all’interno del wrestling web. Di seguito ecco i tweet pubblicati dall’atleta.

The change that’s needed has really went over people’s heads.
It’s a mentality, and a passion that is much different. Not everyone, as so many wrestlers give this their all.
