Konosuke Takeshita sfiderà l’IWGP World Heavyweight Champion a NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling, sfruttando la chance ottenuta al G1 Climax.
The Alpha è stato uno dei grandissimi protagonisti dell’ultima edizione del G1 Climax, il grande torneo di casa New Japan Pro-Wrestling, che lo ha visto addirittura vincere. A Takeshita spetta ora una grande chance per l’IWGP World Heavyweight Championship che, come da tradizione, si dovrebbe consumare nel main event di Wrestle Kingdom.
Questa tradizione però per il secondo anno di fila non sarà rispettata. Già l’anno scorso Zack Sabre Jr. anticipò il suo match titolato, battendo Tetsuya Naito e conquistando la corona. Quest’anno invece è Konosuke Takeshita a voler anticipare i tempi.
Konosuke Takeshita infatti avrà la sua chance per la corona a NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling, evento che si terrà il prossimo 13 ottobre. Il suo avversario sarà il vincitore del match tra il campione Zack Sabre Jr. e lo sfidante Ren Narita, che si affronteranno pochi giorni prima (il 28 settembre per l’esattezza) a NJPW Destruction in Kobe.
Zack Sabre Jr. ha già sventato una prima minaccia, battendo ieri sera a Forbidden Door (QUI il report) Nigel McGuinness.
