Il Suzuki-gun si è definitivamente sciolto questa mattina durante NJPW Road to Tokyo Dome, ultimo evento del 2022 della federazione nipponica.
La stable debuttò il 28 gennaio del 2011 sotto il nome di Kojima-gun, per poi tendere la denominazione attuale solamente nel maggio di quell’anno.
Negli 11 anni di attività tanti fenomenali atleti hanno fatto parte della storica fazione della New Japan Pro-Wrestling, come Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, Taka Michinoku, Lance Archer e, soprattutto, Minoru Suzuki, atleta dal quale la stable prende il nome.
Finisce l’era del Suzuki-gun
Dopo l’annuncio, arrivato qualche settimana fa, dello scioglimento del Suzuki-gun, questa mattina è arrivato l’ultimo atto di questa fantastica storia.
Nel main event del Day 2 di NJPW Road to Tokyo Dome, i membri della fazione si sono affrontati in un 4vs4:
DOUKI, Taichi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru e Zack Sabre Jr. hanno sconfitto El Desperado, Lance Archer, Minoru Suzuki e TAKA Michinoku
Nel post-match ha poi preso la parola il leader del gruppo, Minoru Suzuki, che ha affermato che d’ora in poi gli atleti del Suzuki-gun andranno in direzioni diverse, lui compreso.
Suzuki: well I said until the end of the year, but I guess we’re taking an end of year vacation, too. We’ll all go different ways. Me included. But this is for damn sure. When I made this group, became a wrestler, no since I was born! #njwk17
